Cleanse Website Reviews on Cleanse.com

Natural Healing Today

Updated: March 11, 2009

Natural Healing Today provides alternative health information with a strong emphasis above the fold on the home page for comparing the top ten colon cleansing products. The site includes over 40 articles on various alternative health subjects published by various authors since 2002. It presents itself as a magazine, but if you look at the content of the "Current Issue" posted on the home page, and compare it to the older versions of the site at archive.org, the content has not substantially changed in the past couple years. It also does not date its stories, which indicates it is not as much a source of news as a collection of articles. There are no clearly marked advertisements, and ownership of the site is not stated, so how the site is funded is in question. The current contact page does not list the present owner, but previous archived versions did list an owner who maintains a practice as an Holistic Health Educator & Consultant in southern California near LA. The product comparisons have value, but the current and past versions of the site have always been overly partial to the DrNatura product lines (primary product being Colonix), which it ranks as #1.

Colon Cleanse Central

Updated: March 11, 2009

From their about page: "Colon Cleanse Central is a website designed to provide information and resources to those who are interested in colon cleansing techniques, benefits, products and information. It is our goal to help people understand what colon cleansing is and how it can benefit your body by increasing overall health and well-being." This site is one of the most expansive site out there on colon cleansing with over 150 articles specifically on the subject all published since 2008. It is all written from a very pro-cleansing viewpoint. One notable thing about the reviews that is interesting is that they are all very redundant, fluffy in approach, and upbeat about each product with only mildly critical words about any of the 16 products reviewed, except they have a whole page dedicated to Colonix Side Effects. This is almost an inverse of the pro-Colonix view presented on Natural Healing Today. The products are not ranked or rated on any scale. There are no clearly marked advertisements, and the ownership is not stated, so that makes one wonder who is funding the development and maintenance of the site. The site has been live for less than a year, and it is not yet clear who is backing the site. The About Us page does not provide an an address, although the terms and conditions indicate Canadian ownership.

This is a book-promotion site owned Dr. Richard Anderson, an herbalist, nutritionalist, and author of two books on colon cleansing. He's upfront that he's selling his books. Besides that, his intention is clearly to help improve the health of his readers through alternative health education. His articles are well written and informative.
